Granulhik
High Performance Aerogel Granules

Granulhik is a translucent, high-performance silica aerogel granule designed for applications requiring both superior thermal insulation and light transmission. Unlike fine powders, Granulhik features a larger, millimetric particle structure that allows for excellent light diffusion while blocking heat transfer.

It is the ideal filling material for daylighting systems (polycarbonate panels, architectural glass), creating energy-efficient buildings filled with natural soft light. Additionally, its robust granular structure makes it a perfect lightweight aggregate for high-performance insulation plasters and cavity wall insulation.

Key Benefits

  • Light Transmission & Diffusion: Allows natural daylight to pass through while diffusing it evenly, preventing glare and hot spots in architectural glazing.

  • Outstanding Thermal Insulation: Provides high insulation performance (λ ≤ 0.019 W/mK), significantly improving the U-value of glass and plastic panels.

  • Sound Insulation: The porous granular structure effectively dampens noise, improving acoustic comfort in buildings.

  • Hydrophobic Durability: Repels water and moisture, ensuring consistent performance and preventing mold growth within panels or walls.

  • Non-Combustible: Inorganic composition ensures high fire safety and does not contribute to smoke generation.

Applications

  • Daylighting Systems: Insulating filler for multi-wall polycarbonate sheets, U-channel glass, and skylights.

  • Insulation Plasters: Lightweight, breathable aggregate for interior and exterior thermal plasters.

  • Cavity Injection: Loose-fill insulation for double-wall masonry and narrow gaps.

  • Translucent Roofing: Tensile membrane structures and stadiums requiring light and insulation.

  • Safe Touch Insulation: Granular filling for complex industrial shapes where blankets cannot fit.
